Dwayne has served as the head pastor at Wellspring Church since 2007. The church was founded in Charlotte, NC. He serves as a pastor's director for the Acts 29 Network. Dwayne, in addition to being a pastor, is enthusiastic about educating the younger generation. He sits on the Board for Directors of the Biblical Counseling Coalition. He is the creator of numerous articles on the internet and is a contributing author to the book Christ-Centered Biblical Counseling Redefining Lives with God's Changeless Truth (eds. Kelleman and Viars). Dwayne has three children together with his wife Leslie.
