April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in seventh grade. This sparked curiosity. When April was 12 when she wrote her first single called Different. When she was 14, April spent much time writing lyrics and perfecting her musical abilities. The songwriting began along with her dad in NY and LA soon after. April began including other topics in the book, Take My Hand, for those of her peers who struggled with peer pressure, disabilities or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with a growing number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia in partnership, in addition to being a lifestyle expert. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is the reason she's what she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on Instagram, but she doesn't make it the focus of it. What message does it convey? It is important to remember that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities are diverse and we're more than our bodies. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability should define my character. It's not my intention to influence disability because I have so much more to offer." And it doesn't affect my day-to-day life I do everything normally and I've found the best way for me to adapt things. Because it's part of who I am and something worthy of discussion. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. However, she admits to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing which displayed her arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. and she shares her photos on social networks. The key to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a goal. But I think that's for everyone, whatever the source of their anxiety. The people around you with who truly know your personal story and who can look through your eyes are the best people who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
