Sofia Pernas was born in Fes, Morocco, and traveled around the world before eventually finding her way to Los Angeles. Pernas initially had an interest in journalism. However, her world was changed after she met an agent who represented models and an agency for acting that launched her career. The theory is that her distinct appearance was influenced by a Moroccan father as well as the influence of a Galician mother. Sofia Pernas (born 1989) is a Moroccan-Spanish actor who lives within Los Angeles. Her character is on the show The Brave. At just five years old, her family relocated from United Kingdom to Orange County, California. Her mother's origins are native to Morocco as is her father, and she is originally from Spain and both are multilingual. To learn several languages, she has learned Arabic, English Spanish, as well as German. Her initial plan was to go into journalism however, she was subsequently scouted and turned to a modeling career. She portrayed Marisa in The Young and the Restless and starred with Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni in the CW television show Jane the Virgin. In NBC's The Brave, she plays Hannah Rivera, a Defense Intelligence Agency part of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
