Video games were my first experience with video games. Certain games are extremely violent. However, Heavenly Sword (2007) is different. I've had many conversations with my friend who designed it. He wants the player to care. Yes, there's killing. My character as in "Heavenly Sword", Nariko, is taking care of her family and the runaway. It's a beautiful game. More than an athletic event. It's about caring and protecting of the land. My friend's goal is an environment where you can get emotional from individuals who play it. Try to get people crying when you make them feel like they were not successful in their attempt to protect the ones that they cared for. This isn't "Pac Man. There will sometimes be some line from the script that I couldn't think of saying it. When I inquire about the question of an American they will say "Oh yeah, yes." "That's how we speak about it." Here in Australia We say certain things in a different way, for instance torch. I'd ask "Can I get the torch?" If I asked, "Can you give me the torch?" it seems to be a hollow request.
